Early Life and Education
Kym Jackson was born in Bath, England, and moved to Australia with her family shortly after her third birthday. She grew up in Logan City, Queensland, and attended John Paul College. Her interest in acting developed early, with Jackson participating in school and community theatre from the age of five.

At 17, Jackson moved from Logan City to Surfers Paradise to pursue opportunities in the film industry. She worked as a tour guide and performer at Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast while continuing her training and auditioning for screen roles. Her first feature-film role came in Scooby-Doo in 2002. Jackson subsequently moved to Sydney and then relocated to Hollywood in 2004. Her American television career began with a role in Criminal Minds in 2008. She went on to appear in a range of prominent television productions, including NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Chuck, Castle and Notorious.

Her film career includes roles in Iron Sky, Snitch, Red Line, Bordering on Bad Behavior, Retribution and The Devil's Dolls. Her role in Snitch placed her in a cast that included Dwayne Johnson and Susan Sarandon, while Iron Sky became another notable international production in her filmography.

Jackson has also taken on larger television and genre roles. She played Neela, Queen of the Vikings, in the ABC adventure pilot Triangle. Her career has consequently covered crime dramas, action films, science fiction, horror and mainstream television.

Career Journey & Entry into Bollywood

Beyond acting, Jackson has developed a career in writing and actor education. She wrote The Hollywood Survival Guide for Actors, a book based on her experiences working in the American entertainment industry, and founded the actor education platform Secret Actor Society.

Jackson also expanded into film production. IMDb credits her as a producer on projects including Other You, while she has also been involved as an executive producer on All My Friends Are Back in Brisbane. Her career therefore extends beyond performing into the production side of filmmaking. In We Bury the Dead, Jackson plays Lieutenant Wilkie. The survival thriller was written and directed by Zak Hilditch and stars Daisy Ridley as Ava, Brenton Thwaites as Clay and Mark Coles Smith as Riley.
